about the
author
The content found on FYISportsFans.com is written by myself, Nick
Barnowski. I am 15 years of age, and a freshman in high school. I
reside in southeastern Michigan.
In the spring of 2006 I created a blog called "Sports Nut's Sports
Blog." That quickly took off, and the blog was featured in The Detroit
News, Ann Arbor News, Livingston Daily Press & Argus, and was the
subject of a segment on Detroit's ABC affiliate, WXYZ-TV. It was there
when my interest in journalism took off.
From there I created the FYI Sports Fans Forum, and website. I joined
up with a bunch of teenagers from across the United States, and we
talked sports. That website went defunct, and is now this site.
I want to be a sports journalist when that opportunity presents itself
to me, and I look forward to accomplishing my goal.
on this site
The content on this site will mainly consist of articles written about
various topics on sports. It will mostly be used to work on my writing
skills, but readers are more than welcome. Please keep in mind that I
am a high school student, with extracurricular activities and other
events going on, so updating this site will be hard to do on a
consistent basis.
For high profile events, I will sometimes hold live blog sessions during
the game, race, etc... Users are more than welcome to chime in with
their thoughts and ask questions if they want. More information can be
seen on the live blog page.
I will also try to hold weekly chats, where sports fans can join in and
chat it up about any given topic revolving sports.

Site logo was created by member
hailtothevictor from Signature Sports.
This site is best viewed in Internet Explorer, because I use FrontPage
to make the site. FireFox should work, but problems may occur.
I'm not the best in web design, so that's why this site lacks in cool
graphics and probably organization.
