Blue Jackets Have A New Coach
Just a few weeks after the Flyers fired Ken Hitchcock, the Blue Jackets signed him. The Blue Jackets now have their 5th head coach in their existence. Ken Hitchcock was fired on October 22nd and hired on November 22nd. The Blue Jackets were struggling and had no head coach, since they fired former Detroit Red Wing Gerard Gallant on November 14th. The Blue Jackets have the worst record in the NHL, which stands at 5-13-2. The Blue Jackets have a bunch of talent, with stars like Sergei Fedorov and Rick Nash, but they average just over two goals a game, with just 43 in 20 games. Ken Hitchcock know how to win games and he has taken the Stars to the Stanley Cup finals twice, winning one, and he took the Flyers to the playoffs every year he coached there. The Blue Jackets have never made the playoffs in their six year existence.
