NFL Week 11 Injury Report.......What happened and how will it affect their teams |
By Nick Barnowski, Senior Writer Nov. 19, 2006 |
Ray Lewis - LB, Baltimore Ravens What happened? Ray had a small pocket of blood drained from his back earlier this week. This is Lewis' 2nd straight game missed. How will it affect the Ravens? This should affect the Ravens (7-2). The Ravens play against a great running game in the Atlanta Falcons. And against that great running attack, the Ravens will need everything they have to stop the dynamic duo of Mike Vick and Warrick Dunn. I still say the Ravens will stop that, even without Lewis. Byron Leftwich - QB, Jacksonville Jaguars What happened? Byron will have surgery on his injured left ankle Tuesday, possibly ending his season. How will it affect the Jags? I don't think it will affect the Jags that much. They already have a great backup in David Gerrard. The Jags play the New York Giants, who are without Michael Strahan and possibly Osi Umenyiora. Other notable injuries: Atlanta Falcons: DE John Abraham (Groin) DE Patrick Kerney (Pectoral) Buffalo Bills: RB Willis McGahee (Ribs) New England Patriots: SS Rodney Harrison (Shoulder) To view the complete injury list, click HERE |
