Tar Heels Overrated? Absolutely!
I know, I don't like UNC, in fact, I can't stand UNC. But that is all
beside the point. A team full of freshmen had no business
being ranked number two in the country, let alone receiving
nine preseason first place votes. Not when the defending
National Champion, Florida, returns every player of note.

UNC has a bunch of freshmen, as does Duke, and that will hurt
them at points during the season. Freshmen make freshmen
mistakes. There is no getting around it, I don't care how
talented they are.

It is possible that the Tar Heels could win a Championship at
the end of the season. But do you honestly think UNC is the top
notch team in the country right now? If you do, you need your
head examined.

Gonzaga proved it. All you have to do is shut down Tyler
Hansbrough, and you can beat Carolina. Of course, shutting
down Hansbrough isn't exactly simple, but it's better than
having to shut down 5 guys at a time.

Roy Williams has to figure out who his starting 5 or 6 players
are, and he needs to do it fast. Williams acts like he has to get
all his players equal playing time or they will lose the game. No!
What he has to do is find out who his best players are, because
constantly subbing in and out prohibits your team from getting a
rhythm going. This exact problem haunted Williams at Kansas
when he choked time after time.

It's early in the season, and the Tar Heels are young. They will
be a completely different team in March, but we have to get
there first.
